Port

Söråker harbor

Since the middle of the 19th century, the harbour has been a place for sawmills, sulphite factories and Gullfiber’s glass wool factories.

In 1987, Sundfrakt bought the port in Söråker and Delta Terminal AB was formed the following year.

Since then, we have acquired most of Söråker’s industrial area and invested in buildings, large storage areas and infrastructure and are today one of the country’s few privately owned intermodal ports.

To meet tomorrow’s needs and requirements, in 2018 we invested in a new harbour crane and the following year in the industrial track that connects the harbour with Ådalsbanan.

In 2020, the expansion of the port began and in 2022, a new and modern quay will be completed with an increased ship depth of 7 metres.
